About RingveRingve museum is today Norways national museum for musical instruments, with a collection encompassing around 2000 instruments. Of these, around 700 are so-called classical European instruments, while the rest are European and Non-European traditional instruments. In addition, the collection contains around 25000 pieces of sheet music, a comprehensive picture collection, an audio arcive with player piano rolls, polyphone plates, phonograph rolls and various types of phonograms. The museum also owns individual archives from persons and institutions related to national or local musical life. Ringve farm was also the childhood home of Peter Wessel Tordenskiold (1690-1720), which is reflected in a collection tied to his life and times. Visiting & postal address:
